Posted on 21. Oct, 2008 by Nate in Blogging
According to me, these were some of the people I really wanted to meet at Blog World Expo 2008. Listed in no particular order:
As listed: the famous Wordpress Guru – Lorelle VanFossen, Shoemoney (Jeremy Schoemaker), ProBlogger (Darren Rowse) 2 times, Muhammad Saleem, Lee Odden, Gary Vaynerchuk, Guy Kawasaki, John Chow, Michael Gray (Gray Wolf), The Twitter Bird!
I look forward to implementing all the great stuff I learned from each of these blog “gurus”. Other notables included:
eMom, Brian Clark, Dave Taylor, David Peralty, Timothy Ferriss

Awesome pictures, especially the bird!
Thanks for listing me as well. I really appreciate it.

Yeah, that bird was so random! It was flying around right near the entrance upstairs. I figured, since Twitter was talked about SO MUCH, that it must have been planted there on purpose
Look forward to talking with you soon!

If you follow these blogging goals, you’ll probably be at this expo next year and can get your own pictures
ClogOn! I mean, Blog On!

oooooo, lookie all the cool blogger peoples!
Can’t wait for the rest of the news from Blog World Expo and your experience. I’m in Hawaii for Hawaii Geek Week and Podcamp/WordCamp Hawaii and a lot of geek, blogging, and WordPress in between. Having a lot of work fun, but no sand and surf for this busy girl.
Showing your face in my “How WordPress Changes Lives” video, though.

Life is tough in Hawaii I’ll bet
That will have to be a goal of mine for next year’s events!
It was really fun to speak with you and feel your excitement and passion for blogging and wordpress. It’s like I said in your interview,
Thanks for the comment Lorelle!
Readers, if you have questions about wordpress and how to use it, make sure you visit http://lorelle.wordpress.com!
Our audio interview is coming soon!

These guys have been doing this for years. We didn’t even know about blogging until you told us about it. We really have a lot of work to do and we are going to do it. At least I am.

And I know you CAN do it! The best thing about what you are doing, Jeanie and Jessie, is that you have a passion for the industry you’re a part of. The more you can starting thinking – “Oh, I could blog about that,” the more you’ll be able to share fun stuff with visitors who will want to keep coming back.
Keep up the great work!

Interesting observation and one I’d have to agree with – I met a lot of people at the Blog World Expo 2008 and it seemed like he and one other (who I won’t mention openly) were not at all nice to speak with.
Shoemoney, ProBlogger, Guy Kawasaki, Lee Odden, Lorelle from Wordpress, eMom, Muhammad Saleem, all of them were really nice, cordial, and at least willing to give me the time of day. Gray Wolf, not so much…
Wonder if Gray Wolf will respond to this?

i really dont care if or what wolf will respond. I see what he tweets. I dont know… too bad he got so much knowledge. Darren Rowse is a great guy as well, helped me with a couple of “problems”. I really would like to meet all this people! One day…..
